About Ben Pu
Ben Pu is an accomplished programmer with experience producing and maintaining high-performance reactive algorithms as well as building both PCs and servers. Over his career he has acquired experience both in the instruction of computer science and in its applications in a demanding fast-paced environment. A graduate of Cornell University, Ben Pu earned a BS in computer science. Concurrently with his studies, he served as a teaching assistant for a number of courses in his department.
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Pu enjoys reading. He has a particular fondness for science fiction and enjoys novels written by authors such as Orson Scott Card, Liu Cixin, Isaac Asimov, and Arthur C. Clarke. He also enjoys watching Star Trek, and regularly watches episodes of The Next Generation, Deep Space 9, and Voyager. He maintains an active lifestyle, biking and skiing when the weather permits, and also enjoys sailing and playing ultimate frisbee.
Aside from his hobbies, Ben Pu is an active community member and a longtime supporter of the ACLU and the Human Rights Campaign. He also supports research into treatments for fibromyalgia and chronic pain through donations to the National Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Association as well as the American Chronic Pain Association.
